The power of the make-up makeover

The inspiration for this post is my love for make-up transformations that I like so much to do. When women realize and feel their own beauty, brought out with the make-up, I feel really joyful 🙂 It’s not necessary to use tons of products, but just the right ones. It’s not about hiding behind a mask. It’s about playing and celebrating your own and unique features!
Today is the International women’s day, so I dedicate this post to all women around the world and wish them to feel beautiful inside and outside. I also thank the nice model Nina@Immortalmodels who was so inspiring to me, that I decided to present you a few looks through her beauty. I was working with Nina for her model book just before she went in Paris and walked on the fashion week runways.
I did on Nina three different looks. The first look was quite editorial with a casual edgy mood. Overall, it’s a polished minimalistic look. The complexion was nourished with an organic aloe vera primer and then enhanced with a liquid foundation. Eyes are shaded all around with a medium brown eyeshadow and the lips are toned down with a matte pale pink lipstick. On the cheeks I applied a touch of light bronzer to slightly shape the face and give it definition.
The second look is very chic and classy, because of the smoky eye that I defined even more with a thin winged eyeliner line on the upper eyelid and lots of black mascara. I have changed the blush and the color of the lips in peachy-pink tonalities. The lip gloss and the blush give a fresh glow in contrast with the sharp shaped and dark eye make-up.
The keyword of the third look is dance disco party with a young twist. It’s all about color, freshness and glamour. The skin has a healthy glow thanks to the nourishing foundation mixed with highlighter on some points of the face. The eyes have a sexy mood because of a thick extended line that I did with a pearly violet eyeliner, followed with lots of black mascara. On the cheeks I added just a slight touch of creamy blush in neutral pink-apricot shade. In contrast to violet on the eyes I added on the lips a bright coral creamy lipstick. Very modern and chic!
Happy women’s day full of Love, Beauty and Creativity!

Thank you Lynn! Oh, I’d so much like to work more on different Asian models (skin, features,…). They are so incredibly interesting and inspiring! I remember that when I was studying make-up, I had to do my first make-up on an Chinese girl and it was really a great experience!
Happy Women’s day to you, too!

Thank you Mel! Really lovely from you 🙂 Have a nice day!
Could you tell which products did you use for the second look? (especially for the face) It looks absolute amazing and flawless without looking cakey.
Hehe, thanks Rachel! The model’s skin on the face was very dry, so I needed to do a good facial first. I have used also a little bit of organic coconut oil and then blot the shine away. After I did a massage on the face so that the skin and face features relaxed. Then I applied the cream foundation by Lauren Brooke, which is very hydrating and at the same time looks semi-matte and give the face a nice healthy glow. And yes, it does not look cakey 🙂 With dry skin you don’t need to use the finishing powder. It’d dry the skin even more.
Hope was helpful 🙂 Enjoy!
What products did you use for the third look? I love the understated glamour that still looks really natural. 🙂
Hello! Thanks for the interesting comment! I really like the “understated glamour” 🙂
Well, the foundation was the same as from the beginning: 100%pure liquid foundation, mixed with Inika highlighter on some points to give freshness to the skin. On the eyes I have applied the shimmer mineral eyeliner Alima Pure in deep violet, called Carnevale. After I have applied lots of black mascara (Terre d’Oc). On the cheeks I’ve blended the cream blush from RMS in a nice peachy orange called Promise. For the lips I used the 100%pure creamy lipstick in Peach, a nice coral orange shade.
Hope was helpful 🙂
